Congratulations!
So, you’re having a baby. Becoming a parent is an exciting time in your life. Don’t let the stresses of our unique and hectic work environment take away from that.
In order to help you navigate this special life event we have spent hours composing documents to help answer all of your questions when it comes to being a flight attendant while pregnant, adopting, breastfeeding and parenting. The best resource we have for you is our guidebook: From_Here_To_Maternity_November_2022. We suggest you download it and take a look through it as most questions can be answered by reading this extensive guide. Keep in mind that some things may change, and always look at the date on the front page to ensure you have the most current version.
We understand that flying and parenting are two very difficult roles to balance. Should you ever be in a situation where an unforeseen emergency arises leaving you without childcare or with a sick child, note that you can request a leave of absence as per our Personal Family Care Leave Policy.
If you have any questions regarding maternity/parental leaves, breastfeeding leaves or accommodation, benefits, etc please send an email to info@local4091.ca.
